The Stag Line Ltd steamship Nymphaea was en-route in ballast from North Shields to Cienfuegos in Cuba when she was wrecked at Studie Point, about 1 mile south of Whinnyfold. She was quickly broken up by heavy seas and her remains are now mixed in with those of the City of Osaka. Not much of her remains.
